Qing Zhang

Qing Zhang serves as Executive Director. Prior to joining TAOS, Ms. Zhang was the founding China Program Director for Verité (1997-2005). She developed some of China's most innovative programs on worker education for several international brands. She has conducted extensive compliance trainings based on audit findings and interviews with over 5000 workers for corporate clients. Ms. Zhang was a leader in a pioneering research study in 2003 into overtime practices in factories in Guangdong, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu provinces. She has also been chief organizer of a China-Suppliers Conference held annually in China since 1998. Before working in the social compliance field, Ms. Zhang was a business journalist and newspaper editor in Tianjin, China.

Ida Monzon

Ida Monzon serves as Director for Operations.  She has over 15 years experience as a social development practitioner.  Her past works included developing innovative planning techniques, designing and developing strategic plans, and project design, evaluation and monitoring. Her recent projects include the development of corporate and in–factory training programs to help build capabilities of CSR implementers.  Ida also has six years experience as a corporate manager where she was involved in the implementation of international joint venture agreements, development and maintenance of key information for monitoring and evaluation of corporate performance, evaluation and design of new business and products.  She has managed support staffs for CEOs, and worked with academic and consultancy groups to conduct studies and project evaluations related to development planning, corporate social responsibility, poverty alleviation, local governance and micro finance.  She holds a MS degree in Development Management from the Asian Institute of Management and a BS degree in Statistics from the University of the Philippines.

Fuyun Ding

Fuyun Ding serves as Program Manager.  He manages the TAOS auditing and training programs in the Guangdong and Fujian provinces.  He also manages and coordinates the TAOS worker education programs conducted in partnership with local NGOs and schools. Prior to joining TAOS, he served as lead auditor for Verité since 1997, where he also coordinated the first mobile training program in affiliation with several corporate sponsors, serving over 30,000 factory workers in Guangdong province.  Before his work in the social-compliance field, Mr.  Ding was a production manager at a garment factory and was an instructor at the Engineering and Technical School in Hebei. He and his team are based in Shenzhen, China.

Ying Sun

Ying Sun serves as Program Manager.  Ms.  Sun brings to her position a wealth of CSR experience in working with international NGOs (Fair Labor Association, Verité), leading international brands, and supplier factories in Asia. She has conducted over 50 social audits with international brands and has been actively involved in CSR training delivery for brand internal auditors and factory management.  Ms.  Sun developed her interests and expertise in CSR-related fields over a seven-year-long legal studies/research program at the Law School of  Wuhan University, where she spent two years performing part-time pro bono legal work with the Center for Protection of Rights of Disadvantaged Citizens (CPRDC).  Ms. Sun holds a LL.M. degree from Harvard Law School, where she conducted focused studies in international human rights law and Chinese rural-urban migrant workers. She has also studied at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center for Chinese and American Studies in Nanjing, China.
